Renewed Trust between KATOEN NATIE and BOA Concept
Building on a successful initial collaboration at the Saint-Martin-de-Crau (13) site for alinea, the KATOEN NATIE – BOA Concept duo has reformed to implement the ideal intralogistics solution for one of its Textile clients whose products are destined for both B2B and B2C markets.
While the scalability aspect of BOA Concept's solutions was a selection criterion, flexibility, particularly in IT matters, was equally important.
A Perfectly Orchestrated Transit System
A former installation formator was reused and interfaced at the start of the line. It releases two types of cartons on the first section of BOA Concept conveyors. Equipped with routing labels, the boxes join four picking stations positioned at the exit of an Autostore system – integrated by Element Logic – using helicals that allow them to cross over a traffic lane. It should be noted that thanks to the scalability of the solutions, the number of picking stations can increase in the future.
A Very Specific Development
The added value of the BOA Concept solution mainly lies in the expertise, mastery, and capacity to carry out IT developments. The IT teams have worked on setting up numerous screens for managing this line.
Beyond its ability to interface with a large number of technologies, BOA systems stand out due to their flexibility and responsiveness since the line was deployed in less than two months. This choice by KATOEN NATIE thus allows its client to be at the cutting edge of trends, even within the warehouse.
